Dale Jr wins at Daytona in the #3

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Dale Earnhardt Jr. drove the No. 3 Wrangler Chevrolet into Gatorade Victory Lane in an exciting and emotional win in Friday night’s Subway Jalapeno 250 Powered by Coca-Cola at historic Daytona International Speedway.

In a green-white-checkered finish, Earnhardt, who was running the legendary blue and yellow paint scheme in honor of his father’s recent induction into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, was able to hold off a hard-charging Joey Logano.

“The 20 car had a run on the back straightaway and I thought the race was over,” Earnhardt said. “It’s emotional. I’m proud of myself. I’m proud of what I did with the JR Motorsports group, I’m proud for Richard (Childress) and Teresa (Earnhardt) and everybody who came together to make this happen, but mainly the fans. I hope they really got a lot out of this. It was trying, emotionally, to put it together.

“I was so worried I wasn’t going to win because nothing but a win was going to be good enough. If I didn’t win, what a waste of time, why’d I do it? So I worked hard trying to win it and not only for daddy. I’m proud of him for going into the Hall of Fame and he would be proud of this I’m sure. This is it. No more 3 for me.”

Logano’s No. 20 SportsClips Toyota was strong throughout the race and pushed Earnhardt out to a comfortable lead on the final restart. Logano had a run going through Turn 3, but with no drafting help, fell back in line.

“I just wanted to win real bad,” Logano said. “It seems like every time I come to restrictor-plate race tracks like this I push someone to a win. I just can’t get anyone to push me yet. It was a good run, but it’s not a win.”

Earnhardt, who momentarily took the lead on Lap 3, led the most laps with 33. The win marked Earnhardt’s first Nationwide Series win on the 2.5-mile tri-oval since he won the race back in 2006. It was his sixth win at the historic track in the Nationwide series – the most among active drivers and just one win behind the overall leader Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Pole-sitter and current points leader Brad Keselowski led twice for 16 laps and finished fourth.

Dating tips from Toy Story 3's Ken

Toy Story 3 is filled with new characters with familiar voices, like Michael Keaton as Ken. Before having his manhood taken by Barbie, Ken was known for being a lion with the ladies. In the latest promo clips for the movie, Ken gives some much needed dating advice in a segment called, “Ken’s Dating Tips for Today’s Bachelor.” Check out tip #24.…..

Ken is definitely full of himself but everything he has said in the above video is true. It maybe over the top, but in the end he is right. Taking care of yourself is the first step to having a successful relationship. Maybe a little hard for guys to accept from someone whose hair doesn’t move.

The premise of Toy Story 3 surrounds Andy’s move to college and the toys needing to find a new home. Andy’s mother wants to put Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the gang out to pasture but somehow they end up at a daycare center. The joyous event soon turns sour when they realize that toddler’s aren’t that gentle or clean. From that point on, they devise a plan to break out of the daycare by any means necessary.

Toy Story 3 hits theaters on June 18, 2010.

Toy Story 3: Barbie

Ooops! You have to be careful in marketing. Looks like naming one of your main characters after a sexual innuendo was a bad idea. Pixar and Disney really hit it out of the ballpark with ‘Woody’ from the Toy Story series. However, this Barbie doll packaging takes things a little too far:

By the way, there is also a "Barbie Loves Buzz" doll too.

Toy Story 3 is coming:

11 years! That’s how long its been since audiences last saw Woody, Buzz, and the rest of the Toy Story gang. Starting next week, they are back and in 3D in “Toy Story 3”. This one picks up with Andy, the toys owner, leaving for college and the toys finding themselves in Sunnydale Daycare, a daycare for untamed toddlers with sticky fingers who do not play nice. New characters are introduced throughout the movie including Ken who falls in love with Molly’s Barbie doll, Mr. Picklepants, and a pink strawberry-scented teddy bear named Lots-o’Huggin Bear. Weakness....

The above phrase is used daily by members of the United States Marine Corp. (USMC) and often something you will hear me say over and over again. Heck, I’ve even started using the phrase to my patients a time or two. But as of lately, or should I say as of 2 weeks ago, I have quickly learned that pain is just that…A WEAKNESS! It doesn’t built character and frankly it makes me feel like a huge wimp. Since the car accident heard around the country, I have been in excruciating pain. I pray to God daily that it will go away quicker than it came in, and so far my prayers have been unanswered. Cruel joke if you ask me! As I sit here, I just hope the pain makes me stronger and a better person and nurse to my patients. Now I can empathize with them even more. I can try, some don’t listen, to tell them that it will go away. You just have to have faith. One day I hope to wake up and the pain be gone, but until then I am just hoping it makes me stronger so I can deal with the daily tasks at hand, even if I have to rock a Cam Walker Boot and crutches.
