Kevin Harvick wins at Martinsville

Kevin Harvick passed Kyle Busch with nine laps to go and held on to win the rain delayed and caution filled Kroger 250 from Martinsville Speedway. Even though the crowd was sparse for the race, they still saw one hell of a race.

Kyle Busch led 139 laps before Harvick got to the inside heading into the Turn 3 and pulled ahead after dueling side by side to the flag stand. Harvick’s pass came after several laps running his Chevy right on the bumper of Busch’s Toyota. After a crash brought out the 13th of 14 cautions Harvick outran his teammate, Ron Hornaday Jr on the restart on lap 249 until another crash allowed him to coast to the victory under a caution. The victor is the 4th for Harvick in 97 starts in the Camping World Truck Series.

Busch, the series points leader, was forced to pit after losing the lead when he drove over the line that obligates a driver to visit pit road. He finished 17th. Clearly unhappy with NASCAR’s rules, he climbed from his truck, ran down pit road, climbed over the outside wall, and left the track.

Top 10:
1. Kevin Harvick
2. Ron Hornaday
3. Mike Skinner
4. Johnny Benson
5. Rick Crawford
6. Stacy Compton
7. Dennis Setzer

The next race for the Camping World Truck Series is April 25th, from Kansas Speedway. Coverage begins at 5:30pm/eastern time on Speed.
