Brendan Gaugh gets pole for Bristol Nationwide race

NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie Brendan Gaughan, driver of the #62 South Point Hotel & Casino Chevy for Rusty Wallace Racing, starts on the pole for today’s Scott’s Turf Builder 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway. The rookie clocked a time of 15.209 and a speed of 126.162mph for his qualifying run. Starting alongside the rookie is the #60 of Carl Edwards. His time was 15.253 and a speed of 125.798mph. This is Gaughan’s first pole since jumping into the Nationwide Series. The Scott’s Turf Builders 300 will start at 2:30pm/eastern time on ABC.
